Q!365 – Teams Chat Embedded in Salesforce

The Power of Connected Collaboration

Whether you work in the office or remote from home, staying in direct contact with colleagues to work on solutions together, to get updates on opportunities or more is a key aspect of a successful and efficient work environment. In most cases, when working with Salesforce, you’ll use Chatter for notes and updates – oftentimes that is not enough to communicate with the people you need to.

This results in needing to communicate via one of the other  regular solutions: E-Mails, MS Teams, Slack, and so on. Given the lack of context and the need for info in Salesforce and not just outside of it, this can pose issues. Another problem with this is that it can quickly get difficult to keep track of who is working on what, scrolling through mails to find that one update on the opportunity you’re currently working on, or simply having to wait until someone checks a channel to even see your notes or requests in the first place.

Q!365 now offers a way to fully embed your Teams chat directly in the object – any object, including custom objects, itself – showing who updated what, at what time and keeps everything within direct reach of each other without needing to switch applications, windows or anything else.

Extending the reach of Salesforce in a structured way

Now, when working on an account or opportunity, for example, you can immediately see the Teams group chat related to the account or opportunity itself. You can manually add other experts outside of Salesforce who should have access to the question and extend the team. Within the chat itself, you have a card showing you all relevant information to what you’re working on, for example. At the same time, if you’re looking at Teams itself, the card also offers a link back to the related object and Salesforce.
